Pyrrha

Hot of the presses!

7 World Trade Center

Maggie and I attended the Project NY show this weekend for the Tribeca store. It was held 7 World Trade Center, on the 49th-52nd floors.

Some of the highlights were; new sunglasses from Spitfire, LTB denim, Level 99 for men, Modern Amusement, and some "vintage" leather belts. I'm sorry to tell you guys that there was nothing earth shattering happening in the men's fashion industry, unless you're into overly embellished hoodies.

Spring Hobo handbags are in

Here's a little sneak peek at what we have received so far. Please stop by because the colors and shapes are amazing! If you can't tell, I'm really excited with this delivery.

The little bag with the tortoise handle is called the Kate. We also got in the Moroccan Free People collection. The Akeelah cardigans (folded on the shelf) are cropped with a swinging panel in the back, a flattering cut for most.

Be a part of our windows...

We would like you to be a part of our Valentine's Day windows this year. Bring in a photograph that we can hang in our window and enter to win a $100 gift card from Sweet Lady Jane and $75 dollar gift card to Leunig's bistro.

Ideally, we would like the photographs to be of you and someone you care about. It can be anyone- your mom, your pet, your grandparents... The raffle starts on February 1st and we'll draw the winning name on Valentine's Day. Good Luck!

Intermezzo- Day 2

Corey Lynn Calter rocks! After walking the show, everything starts to look the same but then I came upon Corey Lynn. Her looks are fresh and feel as though they're ripped from the pages of current magazines.

Check out the ikat, yellow patent leather belts, jersey pieces and slick pants.

Intermezzo- Day 1

Ooh la la French Connection! Get ready for a hot summer. French Connection had some amazing pieces, including swimwear! They offered some great prints and silhouettes.

I spent most of the show trying to fill in accessories. Satya added some great new earrings, I tried some of the larger necklaces at Pyrrha, and got the french made hairclips again. The show was a little smaller but the aisles seemed to go on forever.

New York in January

Here I am back in the big city and my Mom has joined me on this buying trip. We went to a very abbreviated Designer & Agents show, then it was off to Barney's.

While we were shopping the shoe department, we walked by this woman trying on a gorgeous pair of shoes and I said to her "those are great shoes!". She looked up and it was Nina Garcia of Elle magazine (and Project Runway)! Cool.

New Year's Eve Parade

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone! I have so much to be thankful for and I'm looking forward to a wonderful year ahead.

2008 will bring a remodeled and updated store, getting hand crafted jewelry cases from our super handy carpenter Ed, bringing in new jewelry lines to fill them, improved web site, and a catalog (for those of you not nearby). Here's to 2008!
